Recycling
Martham Parish Council will, as part of its environmental strategy, promote the responsible recycling of waste wherever possible and will minimize waste and recycle materials wherever possible.
We are now able to gain Recycling Credits (Money!) from Norfolk County Council against glass and shoes collected from the Village and Victoria public house Car Parks. All monies raised through this scheme will directly benefit the village.
We need your views!
Recycling in the village has been a tremendous success thanks to the many residents who deposit bottles, cans and shoes in the recycling bins. As a result, to date almost £2,000 has been raised for the benefit of the Parish.
We would like to find ways to invest this money in projects that directly benefit our village. Ideally these will be community environmental projects and we would love to hear your ideas.
Please send your ideas about how this money could be put to good use to The Clerk
Thanks again for all your help.
Using the recycling points
To help us promote these facilities could we please ask that you place glass, shoes and cans in the correct bins. We also urge you to take home all boxes and empty carrier bags and re-use them.
This will help us to keep our village clean, tidy and safe for everyone.
