Mike Huke

back

Michael Huke - Chairman
Served on the council since May 2002
I am married with two lovely daughters. I have spent all, apart from one of my 32 years of married life, in the village. I worked in engineering for 20 years before changing direction completely to run a local pet shop & aquatic centre. I enjoy gardening, sport and regularly play  squash at a local club. I am keen to work towards retaining, and where possible, protecting the village way of life.

Kevin Jordan

Kevin Jordan - Vice Chairman
Served on the council since February 2004
I have lived in Norfolk since the late seventies, worked all over the world with underwater vehicles specialising in electronics and computers. I am now an ICT professional with my own company. Inevitably I suppose, my hobby is anything to do with computing. I serve as trustee on two Martham charities, past chairman on the Martham Parish Plan Steering Group and - for my sins - Webmaster of this site.

Served on council since June 2004.
I have lived in Martham for 21 years, before that I lived in Repps. I am married with three children and have always been involved in village life starting 18 years ago with Mothers and Toddlers, moving on to Playgroup and then supporting all three schools which my children have attended. I strongly believe in keeping Martham as a village with lots of activities for adults and younger people.

Served on the council since June 2006.
After serving 5 year engineering apprenticeship, spent subsequent 43 years working in several technically oriented appointments in automotive and aerospace industries. All based in Hertfordshire, where I was born. Married to Ann since 1962, with two sons. On retirement in 2003, we moved to Martham, having fond memories of the area from family holidays. Since its inception in early 2005, I have been one of the co-ordinators of the Home Watch scheme in our particular neighbourhood. As a councillor I intend to contribute wherever I can to preserve and improve the facilities and unique character of the village for the benefit of all who live, work or visit here.
