Democracy at work

The Parish Council meets at 7.30pm every third Wednesday of the month in the Sunday school room at the back of the Methodist church on Repps road (conveniently next to the Victoria public house). You are always invited to attend and time is allotted at the start of the meeting for a public forum where any issues can be raised by you.

Members of the council are always complaining - (Surely that's part of their remit isn't it? - Ed.) - about the lack of public support at these meetings, so why not come along and prove them wrong, meetings don't last that long, and I promise you that you will come away with a warm sense of "community belonging" even if you don't pop into the pub afterwards, where the debates are often more lively than the actual meetings!
