Martham Community Gym

Martham Community Hub is an exciting opportunity for the local community to undertake physical activity in a safe environment.  It is staffed and funded by NHS Great Yarmouth and Waveney “Go Active” physical activity Instructors in partnership with Martham Parish Council.  It allows people who want to become more active or who are inactive or suffering from long term stable medical conditions to hit the Department of Health guidelines and improve their health through exercise.  Sessions run on Monday evenings and throughout Tuesdays running circuits on Easyline Technogym equipment. Another addition to the Physical activity hub is Nordic Walking; this is now allowing participants to also access outdoor activities as an alternative to the regular circuit.

Martham Community Gym is held at Martham Community Centre, Playingfield Lane, Off Rollesby Road, Martham. These physical activities are open to anyone over the age of 16, living in Martham or the surrounding villages, wanting to improve their fitness.  Sessions run on Monday evenings and throughout Tuesdays with each session lasting 45 minutes and costing just £2 per person per session.  There is no joining or registration fee.

If you would like to come along to any of these sessions please contact Julie Beales on 01493 748547 (sessions must be booked).
