Hemsby & Martham Luncheon Club
Provides subsidised meals for the elderly in Martham on Tuesdays at the Social Centre off Black Street. 01493 732460

Martham Boating Association
The boating association is also open for non-boat owners and non-parishioners, we have members who live as far away as Kent.

Martham & District Angling Club

The Cook Report

Local Policing

My name is PC 878 Dick Cook and I am responsible for the policing of Martham. I am based at Caister Police Station.

I have in the past attended house burglaries with a garden theme - where the home owner was gardening but had left their house unlocked and an opportunist had entered the house and stolen the occupants handbag and more commonly when garden tools have been used to force entry.

Area of Policing

From Caister, we police an area which stretches from Caister North along the B1159 Coast Road to West Somerton and then inland to Martham and on to the River Thurne at Potter Heigham. The river is then the boundary to Acle Bridge, where the River Bure becomes the southern boundary of the area back to Caister. See our website for further details here.

I am one of twelve officers designated for this area. Martham falls within the Gt. Yarmouth Sector and I am supported by officers based at Gt. Yarmouth Police Station.
