Martham with a population of over 3000, is an historical and traditional British village retaining its Norfolk charm, it is located 9 miles north of Great Yarmouth, 15 miles from Norwich, 3 miles from the North sea and borders the Norfolk Broads National Park.

The centre of Martham has  a post office, a couple of pubs, a supermarket, doctors surgery, a pharmacy and a variety of other shops. Overall, the village has, amongst other things, over 30 businesses, three schools, a public library, a large playing field with a new all purpose young peoples playground skate park and multi games arena.
